Carry on along coastline passing Llandudno and to next View Point at

Hout Bay Harbour

, Drive through the Harbour out and up

Chapmans Peak Drive

to the

Flora Bay Lookout

stop. Through the toll to the top view point of

Chapmans Peak

. Down the drive past the sweep of

Noordhoek Beach

to

Nordhoek Farm village

for coffee and a pitstop!

Drive on through

Kommetjie

and further along the

Western Seaboard

through Misty Cliffs, Scarborough and Red Hill before our next Stop which is the

Cape Point Ostrich Farm

. On and into the

Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve

past Smitswinkel Bay, Buffels Bay and to the next stop and viewpoint at the

Cape of Good Hope

itself , the South Western most point of the African continent. Then to

Cape Point

itself and lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant on the deck overlooking the sweep of

False Bay

.

After Lunch up the Funicular to the amazing viewpoint from the Old Lighthouse and then drive back and out of the

Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve

turning towards the Eastern Seaboard of the

Cape Peninsula

starting at Partridge Point and driving past Castle Rock, Millers Point to our next stop at the Boulders Penguin colony.

From the Boulders turning immediately into the

Historical Naval Village

of

Simonstown

and visiting the statue of

Able Seaman Just Nuisance

in

Jubilee Square

. We will enjoy a few minutes here at the Arts and crafts on the square. From here along the coastline past Glencairn and through

Fish Hoek

where stories of

Great White Sharks

are legend!. Past Clovelly and up towards Boyes Drive above the picturesque fishing village of

Kalk Bay

to our next stop at the

Shark Spotters shelter

above

Muizenberg Beach

and the Sweep of the

False Bay

coastline.

Down Boyes Drive and left past the Westlake golf Course and then either visiting

Steenberg Estate

or

Klein Constantia

for a

Wine tasting

in the

Constantia wine Valley

. We will stop at the beautiful Kramat within the grounds of

Klein Constantia

and then outside

Polsmoor Prison

for some history re

Nelson Mandela

before making our way to

Groote Constantia

for some late pm coffee at Jonkershuis Restaurant.

From here turning onto Rhodes Drive past Cecelia Forest and

Kirstenbosch

before turning onto Union Avenue for the ride home. This will include a drive through the University of Cape Town and then up past

Groote Schuur Hospital

the home of the worlds first Heart Transplant. Over the city on De Waal Drive and down into Roeland street before passing the State Archives, the Houses of Parliament and then finally a drive through Bo Kaap before returning to the hotel at approx 6.30pm.

KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS AND WINELANDS FULL DAY TOUR

Collect guests at 8.30am and head to

Kirstenbosch

for a one hour orientation walk through the

famous gardens

. Thereafter head out to our first

Wine Tasting

stop at

Fairview Estate

near Agter Paarl where tastings of goats cheeses are served with the wine.

Depending on time we will either have lunch at

Fairviews Goat Shed restaurant

or move on to

Boschedal Estate

at the foot of the

Helshoogte Pass

for a La piqnique lunch on the lawns. From here to the top of the

Helshoogte

to the

Delaire Graff Estate

overlooking the

Banhoek Valley

for some more

tastings

in amazing surroundings.

From

Delaire Graff

down into

Stellenbosch

for a short orientation drive through the town including Die Boord with its

historical buildings

and surrounds. We will stop at the famous Oom Samie se Winkel which looks like a genuine 17th century general dealer!. From here out onto the R44 to Mooiberg Farm Stall to see the amazing metal and fabric scarecrows created by the berry farm workers themselves.

From here down the Annandale Road to

Spier Estate

to visit the Cheetah outreach programme, the Turkish Anatolian dog breeding facility and the Raptor house before finishing the day with some late afternoon

Home along the N2 by about 6.30 pm back at the Hotel
